The next couple of days, I took it easy again.

T drove me up to Ikea Emeryville where I wanted to get the Capita 8″ legs. We took the scenic route, which means it was longer and off the expressway, we went through Berkeley.

And it was a good drive with distant views of the city.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get good pictures of the city.

Alcatraz

After sending my parents to the airport, I took the other half of the day to visit Alcatraz.

I don’t know why I felt it was important to visit Alcatraz. I guess visiting San Francisco isn’t complete without visiting the former home of the most famous criminals. The movies about parties travelling over the cold waters and reaching those behind bars, torturing them mentally. The imagery of Alcatraz is strong and powerful.

San Francisco Surrounds

So along the way, my father twisted his ankle and I decide since we are in San Francisco, we will take it easy. Our first day was basically resting, and then later in the day, we went out to Walnut Creek, visited Target, Ace Hardware (Lafayette), Whole Foods, Macy’s before another day was gone.

The following day, we headed up Brentwood where there was U pick farms. Unfortunately, most farms were past their fruiting season and closed. But we always do find something around… peaches.
