I was mousing around Rob Galbraith’s site<\/a> when I saw his link to MediaStorm<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It’s a website with essays and commentaries on the world today, using multimedia. ie you need Flash installed.<\/p>\n

I particularly like Chernobyl Legacy<\/a> by Paul Fusco<\/a>. It reminded me of why I should be very afraid when countries start talking about nuclear testing.<\/p>\n

Everyone says it will never happen. Well yeah, we always say that, it will never happen, but everything we make as human beings breaks.<\/p>\n

Everything breaks. Everything wears out.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If you like portraiture, there’s a whole series of big heads in Close Up<\/a> by Martin Schoeller<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I also found The Sandwich Generation<\/a> rather interesting. It’s about people who are caught between demands of supporting young kids and their ageing parents. It’s interesting that the sentiment in the last part of this personal essay rings very true in traditional Asian culture, except that it’s assumed this will be the case.<\/p>\n
