I guess it’s about time I hunker down and finish what I started in this post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I was quite excited by the green tea flavour. But after several weeks with green tea toothpaste, I hardly even notice the green tea taste any longer. And I don’t think of eating sushi when I brush.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Fresh ‘n Brite. I was looking for it to put the spring in my day, but it had so little mint flavour in Spring Mint that I almost fell back asleep while brushing. That is, until I reminded myself that it was a new flavour.<\/p>\n

Fresh ‘n Brite is described as an “icy cool gel with cleaning agent”.<\/p>\n

I didn’t feel the ice nor the cool. The after rinse experience was so boring and unrefreshing. It also did not give me the “fresh breath you (I) demand everyday.” Oh how terrible it is to start a day with so little minty freshness!<\/p>\n

Darlie Fresh ‘n Brite doesn’t live up to its claim.<\/p>\n

But I was quite excited when I opened up Hydro Fresh Gel that contains spring water from France.<\/p>\n

There’s something about a toothpaste that looks like jelly. I think it’s the way light goes through it. It’s all sorts of shades of blue at the same time. I liked it so much, it was time to abandon my mobile phone<\/a> that I’d been using to take these toothpaste pictures and take out my Nikon D70 with a 50mm mounted on reverse for these macro shots.<\/p>\n

I love those little blue bits in there, whatever they are. I have to admit that I’m partial to seeing bits of stuff in my toothpaste. I often wonder what they are. What exciting things and experiences they’re adding to the toothpaste.<\/p>\n

Already, I have high expectations for Darlie Hydro Gel.<\/p>\n

So, does this toothpaste live up to its exciting look?<\/p>\n

Yes it does. It’s minty. Just a little bit on the hot side. It reminds me of the spicy aftertaste of cloves. I have no complaints about that. Is it the spring water from France that makes that bit of difference?<\/p>\n

Of the three I tried, I think Darlie’s Hydro Fresh Gel is an alternative for me. I still like All Shiny White though. Now, if I can find a combination of Hydro and All Shiny, I think that’d make a pretty perfect toothpaste.<\/p>\n

Well, I have three almost-full tubes of toothpaste now. It’ll be a while before I hit the supermarket shelves for another tube.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
