I never did the final test, even though I didn’t do the week well.

This means I’ve not followed the programme for a week and a half.

I have to confess that following that last week, I did consider giving up the programme, and never testing myself.

However, during the break, I did do some push ups now and then. I managed to do about 40 – 50 push ups without feeling too strained.

This week, I decided to take on Week 6‘s programme again. I decided to repeat the middle column.

On the first day, 30th December 2008, I was distracted while doing the programme and had to go out. I only returned after midnight to continue the rest of the sets.

On the 1st of January 2009, I continued with the second day of Week 6. Unlike the previous weeks, I did not rest between Sets 1 & 2. Instead, I stopped, regained composure and continued on.

Instead, I took longer breaks between the lines. That is, resting after Set 1 & 2, after 3 & 4 and so on.

Today, the final day of Week 6, I tried to continue what I’d started on the second day. However, I merged sets 1 & 2 (44 push ups), rested, did set 3 (30), rested, did 4 (30), rested, did 5 & 6 (50), rested, did 7 & 8 (36), rested, and finally set 9 (at least 55). However, I took longer breaks in between, rather than 45 seconds. That’s because I was running around doing things.

I had difficulty completing the last set. I lost composure at about push up number 46. I re-adjusted my position and continued and managed to push out the 56th push up. It was hard though.

Although I didn’t do Week 6 with much confidence, I’ve decided I will push myself to do the final test. It’s really taken me 9 weeks to do this and I’m just curious if I can do it.

The holiday period, relatives from K.L and too much eating made me delay doing Week 6 again.
