Yes! I did the Hundred Push Ups. Not without difficulty, but I did it!
So, it took a lot of mental strength to even start doing the hundred. Mostly it’s: I don’t think I can do it.
And so, I did.
My arms were still aching from the second try at Week 6. And I knew I wasn’t in peak condition to do the hundred. Still I went ahead.
As a result, I paused after 40, did ten more to get to 50.
After each set of 10, I paused a while to catch my breath and my heart was pounding away by 60.
At 80, I decided to try and finish the last twenty.
Alas, at 97 I collapsed again, took a few deep breaths and finished the last three!
All in all, it took me less than 10 minutes to do all 100.
I think it’s a pretty good attempt.
So what now? I think I’ll continue doing the push ups. How many? Maybe I’ll start with 40 a day. I know I can do 40 comfortably now, where I could do maybe eight to 10 easily.
I don’t think I look bigger. I also don’t look more muscular. But I do feel better.
Right now, I’m wondering if I can follow this programme and do crunches. I used to be able to do the entire sit up, but I can’t anymore. It’s too painful on my tailbone.
So should I do the Hundred Push Up programme with crunches this time? Hmmm…

congratulations!!
do the crunches… you’ve inspired me to do more sit ups and push ups too. maybe not 100, but still.
