After struggling to finish draft one of a new comedy I’m writing, I decided I need to do something about the layout of my bedroom.
I have my office right in my bedroom. I know, I know, home offices should not be in one’s bedroom, it’s not professional, there’s no separation of sleep-related activity and work-related activity. But I’m not so lucky to have two rooms to do that. So it’ll have to do.
Overall, there was too much clutter and it was getting ridiculous. I was getting blue black marks just getting from one corner of the room to another.
So I moved stuff about, threw away stuff… and it took me two whole days.
The net result is: My room, looks much much bigger. And it feels great.
Besides the room, I also had to get rid of more fish tanks that had taken over my balcony. So I dealt with those too. I’m limiting myself to only two aquariums and a macquarium that I’m going to move to the bathroom. I’ve decided it’ll be good fun to watch fish swim while sitting on the can. As the result of my decision, I’ve got some drilling and moving to do.
Hence Phase One. How many more phases will I go through? And how long will this last before the clutter gets to me again?
