Heading south

We left Cody after our breakfast at our Bed and Breakfast.

It was a stressful breakfast. Everyone seated at 8am, having coversation when all I wanted was a few more minutes of sleep. Breakfast lasted 1 hour! And there was a lot of Buffalo Bill and Effiel Tower talk. Had nothing to contribute since I am generally bored with history.

We drove through Yellowstone again and through the Grand Teton to get to Jackson.

The beginning of the journey took us through the Buffalo Bill Scenic Byway, and it was fun to see the columns created from erosion.

At Yellowstone, we decided to visit the West Thumb Geyser Basin, which we missed earlier, due to our unscheduled walk to Fairy Falls. The West Thumb can best be described as a crater within a crater.

The Tetons are are much younger mountain range, therefore taller and growing taller every day. So, they’re quite an impressive mountain range.

As we were about to enter Jackson, we came upon the Museum of Wildlife Art. It was closed, but the sculptures outside were magnificent.

  1. Those have got to be my favourite pics so far. The sculpture of elk on the edge of the rock remind me of a similar one of wild horses in Washington state…
