😉
I’ve been struggling with this decision for the last 4 months. My friend insisted I get a Leica, then later tried to push the Zeiss Ikon, but the Voigtlander Bessa R4A is what I finally got.
It was always a clear choice why I’d go for the Voigtlander. For the price of the body alone, I can purchase two and a third Zeiss Ikon bodies or six Leica bodies. (I wanted the Leica M7.)
I tried to put off the R4A purchase with the Yashica GSN I got earlier. To test the waters, so to speak.
I did enjoy using the GSN, but the camera doesn’t tell you what shutter speed it’s using and I found that frustrating. Knowing the shutter speed tells me if the shot is worth taking because only I know what speed I can handhold steadily up to.
So I took the plunge.
Together with the Nokton 40mm/1.4 Single Coated lens, it makes for a fast and small package.
So, sell the GSN or keep it? The person I got the R4A from says I should keep it… Problem is, my dry cabinet is getting very crowded.
Keep it. You will love it.
