This year seems to be a year of flight delays.
On Audition Tour, a 1.5 hour flight took us 4 hours.
This time, we were delayed an hour and a half in Hong Kong. By the time we touched down in San Francisco, as we cleared customs, our connecting flight, supposed to leave at 1103, took off. We only got onto another flight at 1540 that left closer to 1600 and got us into Denver at 1910.
With so many delays, I also found myself eating meals at the airport – something I rarely do. Taiwan Beef Noodles with nice tender and chunky pieces of beef – no leathery thin stuff of Singapore beef noodles – at HKIA.

And a Bay Shrimp Salad at SFO which was not bad, but made better for the fact that United gave us each a US$15 voucher for food.
It was the least they could do. Besides a delay in flight, I had orange juice splashed on my shoes, the headphone jack was faulty – and, why are United planes so backward? Why still stuck on common screens?
If things had gone to plan, I would have been having dinner at Ole’s Big Game Steakhouse in Paxton, NE and slept in North Platte, NE, halfway to my sister’s.
But, no, I had Arby’s Triple Cheese Angus Beef Sandwich for dinner at Fort Morgan, CO, pushed on to Brush, CO, found everything booked up, drove back to Comfort Inn Fort Morgan for the night.
Check in time? Past midnight.
Tomorrow, a bloody long drive.

arby’s is delicious when you are starving…
hope the rest of your trip is less delayed! Post some photos thanks 🙂
