6 days in Nebraska

Saw some interesting old towns in Colorado along the I-76 when we took the scenic route out.

Drove too many hours across the I80 into Nebraska. Fell asleep at the wheel at one point. Even that wasn’t enough to beat the jet lag.

Stopped at Paxton for Ole’s, famous for the stuffed animals hanging on the wall and ate the Rocky Mountain Oysters – which are bull’s testicles. Quite crispy.

The rest of our days were mostly focused around him, including witnessing his baptism. He travels well and doesn’t make noise unless hungry. So he didn’t prevent us from getting to places.

We also went to see the flooding of the Missouri River that has cut off the highway. Authorities opened up the dam because it was getting too full and flooded the place. Apparently farmers did not get compensated.
