So along the way, my father twisted his ankle and I decide since we are in San Francisco, we will take it easy. Our first day was basically resting, and then later in the day, we went out to Walnut Creek, visited Target, Ace Hardware (Lafayette), Whole Foods, Macy’s before another day was gone.
The following day, we headed up Brentwood where there was U pick farms. Unfortunately, most farms were past their fruiting season and closed. But we always do find something around… peaches.
We drove around Brentwood, visited a few more farm stores, found a nursery and bought my friend a lemon tree for her garden. We took the Marsh Creek drive which most locals take. It was a lovely drive. Golden hills. Dark green trees. A very pretty drive. So pretty, I forgot to take photos. I also noticed that someone had painted on the rocks jutting out of the hills – one was an eyeball and the other was a tortoise head. Very creative.
And that made up another lazy day.
