Didn’t I say I had itchy fingers?
It’s barely past a week and I’ve already messed around with my new planted tank.
I’ve added:
I’m beginning to think, due to the colouration and markings of the boraras I got, that the fish is not actually the mosquito boraras (Boraras Brigittae) but Boraras Urophthalmoides.
My fish have the signature exclammation point marking of the Boraras Urophtalmoides. That is, a dark/black lateral stripe across the body and ending with a black dot on the peduncle (the junction of the end of the fish body and beginning of the tail). See it? After admiring these shrimp in the shop for several months, I decided to plonk down $3 to get one.
My fancy new tanks are much bigger than I thought they’d be.
About three quarters of the existing tanks’ water barely fills one quarter of the new tank. I didn’t think 8″ x 6″ of difference on the height and breadth would make such a big difference.

As an owner of a Golden Retriever, I’m often thinking of how I can make my walks more interesting for my dog who has a lot of social problems. I’m thinking if I can take him out to different places more, he’ll get used to going to new places and doing new things.
Unfortunately, going on foot doesn’t take me very far. And as a writer living in Singapore, a car, or any vehicle on 4 wheels is rather costly to purchase and maintain.
