After Clean Up Phase One more than three weeks ago, I decided to give my balcony and one wall in my room a new coat of paint.
Because of the way the sun hits the room, it tends to get a bit bright in the afternoon.
However, I plain forgot this important fact when I chose the color from Nippon Paint Vinyl Silk line – Spring Green.
Here is the sample taken from the Nippon website

Looks pretty good. But one whole wall of it?
After painting, I looked at the wall and nearly wanted to throw up. I felt sick just looking at the colour.
I used a paint brush rather than a roller. And when you use a paint brush, you have to give the wall two coats to hide the brush strokes.
There wasn’t enough paint of the one litre tin I got and fussy me wanted to get another can to finish the job properly.
But when I stood back and looked at this awful shade of green, I decided I wasn’t going to give the area behind the door another coat anymore.
When I get enough energy another year, I’ll select a better green. Paint it better.
It cost me $13 a litre of this from a paint shop along Sin Min Road. At the DIY shop in Ikea, the same goes for $16, and you have to wait for the machine to mix up a batch for you.
